Baking Day

Today Maisie and Frances decided to bake some cakes.

First they checked the fridge to make sure they had eggs and butter.

Maisie made the cake mix while Frances set out the cases.

They asked their older sibling Sarah to put the cake cases into the oven for them, which she kindly did.

Frances put the cakes onto the tray while Maisie poured the tea.
"That's the coffee pot" Frances said to Maisie as she lifted the pot "I thought we were having tea?"

"We are having tea but I couldn't reach the teapot, mum had put it up to high for me to reach so I've used the coffee pot instead"
"You could have asked Sarah before she went out" Frances pointed out to Maisie "but I must say having coffee looks very grown up even if it is tea"

Both girls sit down at the table to relax with a nice cup of tea and some cakes after all it's been a very busy morning.

They certainly did a good job with the cakes, I just hope they have done enough for everyone!

  1. The girl's did a good job with the baking and were very good to get their big sister to put them in the oven for them
    Their cakes look very jummy

  2. Yes they do look yummy, it's a pity they didn't make enough to go round!! Still it kept them busy for a while and they did clean up after themselves. :o)

  3. Ah, I see you have the same cooker, sink and fridge as me! They are great fun for the 'kids' aren't they? :-) Looks like they had fun baking.

  4. They have the matching washing machine as well, I bought the set early last year as Amazon were doing a great deal for the 3 and yes the girls had a great time being creative. ;O)

  5. Great post Michelle! Alas, you won't find me in the kitchen as I detest cooking! I imagine your Sasha kids have more skill 'cooking' than I :)

  6. I just love afternoon teas! So very English!

Like Ronnie I'm not too happy when in the kitchen having to cook. Can make and cook certain things really well but am hopeless at others so tend to repeat the same things that I am good at (and really like eatimg myself!) on a regular basis.
Those cakes look scrumptuous. I have a sweet tooth for food like these which results in an over high sugar diet.

Was pleased to see that your two girls were being very safety concious around the hot oven.
Super kitchen 'furniture', utensils and crockery.
