Zane and Morgan

Zane arrives with a present for William.

"Excuse me does William live here?" a young voice asked
"We've been travelling for days and we're so very tired" the young boy said

"My name is Zane and this is Morgan" he said holding onto the horses reins.
"William is at school but he will be home soon, would you like to tether Morgan to the tree and come inside for some milk and cookies" I asked.
"Yes please" he replied "and maybe I could stay and look after Morgan for you" he said hopefully
" All of the children can look after Morgan, but you are welcome to stay for as long as you like"
Smileing he tethered Morgan to the tree and followed me inside for some milk and cookies.

A horse, a horse, my kingdom for a horse

From somewhere in the garden a cry could be heard.

"A horse, a horse, my kingdom for a horse!"

"Why is there never a horse when you need one!" muttered the boy

"It's going to take me forever to get to my new home now" he said swishing his sword through the air.

"Hello young man, can I help you"

"I was looking for a horse to take me to my new home but all I found was this fox." he said pointing to it. I don't supose that you have a horse by any chance" he asked hopefully.

"Sorry, we only have a foal who is much too young for you to ride but if you tell me where your heading maybe I could help"

"Well..." he began in a rush, "I'm not entirely sure as I was put inside a box but I managed to escape. My name is William by the way, could I stay here with you and then when the foal is big enough for me to ride I could maybe carry on with my adventure, or even just stay here with you"

"Lets get you something to eat and a change of clothes and you can tell all your new brothers and sisters about your adventure in getting here"

The Gombe Tent and a surprise.

The Gombe tent arrived a while ago and as we are having some fine weather I decided to make it up to see how it looked. Imagine my surprise when I went outside to take the picture and saw this.

"Hello, are you alright in there"

"No need to be shy, what's your name?"

"I'm not shy, I'm Xander and I've come to live with you as I was told you have no kids with a name beginning with X."

"Well welcome Xander, would you like to come indoors for some milk and cookies and you can meet all the other children."

"Yes please"
 Taking my hand he followed me inside to meet his new family.

Tegan makes a cushion.

A humming could be heard coming from the  other room.

 

 

Tegan was so engrossed in what she was doing that she didn't notice me taking her picture.

 

"You're very busy there, what are you making?"



 

 

"Oh hi mum, I thought I'd make a cushion for the new lounger as it's officially Spring and hopefully the weather will improve so that we get to use it"

 



"I've finished, what do you think?" she asked holding it up for me to see.
"It looks perfect. Shall I get the lounger so you can try it out?"
"Yes please"

"Hooray It's a perfect fit"

"Shall I put the lounger away for you now Tegan"
"No thanks mum, I'll just sit here and relax for a while I think I've earned it"
"You have indeed Tegan, you have indeed"

"My life as" 18" doll accessories

 

 

I purchased the "My life as" desk, chair and accessories set which arrived on Thursday.

 

 

The desk lamp lights up.

 

The draws and cupboards open.





With the exception of the lap top, lamp and rug all the accessories are cardboard.

 

 

The chair is plastic, it swivels and is on wheels.

 

Aoife found the chair to be too low to allow her to use the lap top with ease but all in all she's very pleased with our new acquisition.

 

A new prop

While looking at ebay the other week I came across this cute Garden set for Our Generation dolls.

 

 

It consists of a wooden and metal garden chair, a plastic umbrella with material canopy and a plastic shrub in box with plastic pebbles.

 

 

You can remove the canopy of the umbrella should you wish to make your own or need to wash it.

 "Its a perfect fit mum but it needs a cushion to make it more comfortable".

 

"Well Aoife, you girls have a sewing machine now so in a while you and your siblings can pick out some material and we'll see about making one for it"

We may even make a new canopy to match!

Mitzi gets a Jacket

At long last Mitzi finally gets a Jadzia Jacket!

 

and the girls get a sewing machine.

 

Complete with accessories.

 
and draw space for bits and bobs.

 

 

Now the girls can utilise their free time and help me make things for the Chat n Snap.
